TARPON POINT MARINA
Tarpon Point Marina is a premier gated waterfront community, being built around a 175-slip marina, on the edge of the Caloosahatchee River. It benefits from the cool gulf and river breezes.
Tarpon Point Marina is on the Southern tip of Cape Coral, away from the major roads and traffic of the city.
The development includes coach homes, mid-rises, high-rises, estate homes and Marina Village. Marina Village includes two waterfront restaurants, retail shops, food market, office space and a resort style hotel with condominiums.
Residents can lease a slip at the marina or rent boats by the day. A ship store and gas pumps are located at the marina for boaters’ convenience. There is direct access to the river and gulf with no intervening lock.
In and around the marina you may see bottlenose dolphin, manatee and tarpon.
Throughout Tarpon Point and Tarpon Gardens and especially on the lake surrounding Tarpon Gardens, you will see herons, egrets, ibis, spoonbills, wood storks, ducks, osprey, eagles, hawks, pelicans, kingfishers, turtles and occasionally alligators.
Tarpon Point provides gated security and roaming patrol security.
Tarpon Gardens is a gated community within gated Tarpon Point Marina. Tarpon Gardens Circle is horseshoe shaped, with Garden Homes on the inside and Lake Homes on the outside of the horseshoe. Garden Homes have garden views of the amenities and Lake Homes have lake views. There are 30 buildings with four units to a building, ranging from 2020 sq. ft. to 3247 sq. ft. under air.
The construction is masonry with attractive stucco siding and tile roofs, with many roof line changes. The buildings have lots of windows and all front windows have curved arches. The driveways and walkways are brick pavers. Construction was competed in 2004, so the buildings meet the latest hurricane requirements, including break resistant glass. This heavier glass has the additional advantage of significant noise insulation.
The landscaping in Tarpon Gardens and Tarpon Point is lush. There is abundant, attractive landscaping on the outside of the lake, which enhances the views from the lake homes. The most impressive landscaping is on the inside of the horseshoe, which is the former Rose Garden. Many beautiful original trees were preserved, and liberal amounts of tropical Florida landscaping were added. The amenities in this area are awesome:
